Spring Cleaning Made Easy! 18 Fun Ways to Spring Clean

1. Use a dustpan to fill up a tub of water for mopping. Put the dustpan under a faucet in the sink, and the water will run over the handle and into the bucket.

2. Use coke to clean your toilet bowl. Pour the coke around the rim, let it sit for an hour, then flush.

3. Use a lemon to get rid of water stains.

4. Dryer sheets cleans up water buildup.

5. Keep your cleaning supplies neat and organized by using a tension rod.
6. The new Mr. Clean magic eraser has several purposes from  getting rid of scuff marks to removing nail polish stains to cleaning grout.

7. Clean up pet fur from the carpet or furniture by using a window squeegie.

8. Use coarse salt to clean cast iron.

9. Wrap a towel around a broom to clean hard to reach spaces.

10. Clean screens with coffee filters.

11. Get all the grossness out of your keyboard with a toothbrush and cotton swabs.

12. Use vinegar to clean tiny spots, like the tracks between sliding doors and window panes.

13. Put a lazy susan in the fridge to make it more organized.

14. Put condiments in an egg carton to prevent spills.

15. De-pill your clothes using a razor and some tape. You can de-pill your winter clothes before putting them away and your spring clothes after taking them out of storage.

16. Vacuum pack bulky winter clothes and blankets for easy storage. They’ll be as good as the day you put them away come next winter (not that you want to think about next winter).

17. Hang all your clothes so your hangers face backward. When you wear something, turn the hanger around. After a year, if something is still on a backward hanger, give it away.

18. Fold your shirts vertically to save space and maximize visibility.

A Year of Gratitude- March

"Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more gratitude you have, the more likely you will have even more to to express gratitude for."
-Zig Ziglar

March
I am grateful for:

-The Wasatch Mountains

-Random acts of kindness: Gavin's friend Anna sent him a candy bar for a school fund raiser.  When Gavin got home he wanted to extent the kindness and gave all the girls in our neighborhood a rose.  I love how one act of kindness spread.
Another act of kindness that made me grateful was done by Annika and her friends.  They  decided to make cards and go to a rest home a visit the residents there.  I am sure this act touched the lives of these senior citizens.
-A safe place to live:
I think of all the places I could be and feel so grateful I am blessed to live in a place where I am safe to go on walks, safe to go shopping, and to work.
-My son Gavin who is loving, kind, and a peace maker in our family:
If there is ever any contention in our home Gavin is the one that insisted that everyone should get along and show love for each other, we are so happy to have him in our home.

-Running water:
There are still many places in the world that do not have access to running water, we are so blessed to take running water for granted.
